The Electrolock joint is a self -restraining system, eliminating the need for concrete thrust block in pipelines, thus reducing the carbon footprint.

Normal Push-On or mechanical joints in DI Pipes do not provide significant restraint against longitudinal separation and can open up due to hydraulic thrust forces .

The Electrolock self-restraining joint’s double chamber socket joint uses the same gasket as the traditional push-on joint — with a second chamber providing anchorage through the use of a weld bead and locking ring.

ADVANTAGES

· Can withstand very high pressure and axial load.

· Normal push-on joint gasket to be used for sealing, making the joint flexible.

· Can be used for trenchless applications where all pipes with such joints are used in the trenchless potion.

· Easy to assemble and disassemble when required.

As mentioned, the Electrolock eliminates the need of a concrete thrust block, thus indirectly reducing the carbon footprint of a project. #technologythatcares
