Srikalahasthi Pipes Limited (SPL) , a part of the Electrosteel group, is one of the leading manufacturers of Ductile Iron Pipes (DI Pipes) with a manufacturing facility in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India.
The unique sewage water treatment project of SPL is one of the unique sewage water reclamation projects not only in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, it’s also among the very few to use municipal waste water for industrial purpose in the country.
SPL — using its own pipe laying skills — has laid the pipeline from Thukkiwakkam (near Tirupati) to the plant situated near Sri Kalahasthi, covering a distance of 20 km.
The greenish waste water is then converted to clear, industrial-quality water and used in the plant saving 5 million litre of water per day.
