Electrosteel in Germany

When you hear the word ‘Germany’ you immediately think of a country that has given the world cutting-edge technology.
Well, when the cutting-edge country thought of Ductile Iron pipes, guess which global company they thought of:)
Humour apart, Electrosteel Deutschland Co. was recently awarded a sewage and drainage project near Munich, where large diameter ductile iron pipes DN800-DN500 were used.
The supply was done “just in time” right on the project site as it was locatedright next to an autobahn — an extremely busy motorway, with lots of high speed traffic.
The project went off perfectly, with German precision: The pre-calibrated DI pipes were cut at the site to fit the exact distance between the manholes.
Two assembly techniques were used to comply with space constraints: pushing by the bucket of excavator (with appropriate protection) in open areas and the Tirfor pulling technique where trench space was limited.
In the end, everything was ‘Gut gemacht’ — a job well-done!
