“If the agriculture sector shines, the purchasing power in our villages will increase and this will further India’s economic growth" - #PM #NarendraModi

The world’s population is predicted to reach 9.1 billion by 2050, and this could lead to a doubling of the demand for food production. Similarly global water demand is projected to increase by 55%.
How will these two facts co-exist?
Obviously, the major challenge would be to produce more with less water in a sustainable manner.
Micro Irrigation (MI) technologies of drip and sprinkler irrigation systems have emerged as one of the key interventions for water saving and for improving crop productivity. In fact, evidence shows that up to 80% of water can be saved through a properly-designed MI system.
#Electrosteel is honoured to participate at the 9th International Micro Irrigation Conference 2019 in Aurangabad, as a thoughtleader in water systems.
We have been invited to present a technical paper on the feasibility of different kinds of pipes, including Ductile Iron pipes, co-authored by Sabarna Roy and Rajat Chowdhury.
Electrosteel will be represented by Sudipto Lahiri, Amit Kapuria, Ashit Roy, Rajat Chowdhury and Basanta Bera.
Do follow their experiences LIVE from the conference venue, at Electrosteel's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn pages.
